The one investment that supersedes all others...

...the investment in yourself.

"Ultimately, there's one investment that supersedes all others: Invest in yourself," Buffett says in an interview with Forbes. "Nobody can take away what you've got in yourself, and everybody has potential they haven't used yet."

The idea of self-care has gained a lot of popularity lately. We're beginning to understand that the busy-busy-busy mindset is not sustainable. It pays, in the long run, to slow down and invest in our own well being. That investment can take many forms: a few moments of daily mindfulness, a walk in the woods, or a healthy meal can go miles to nurture our minds and bodies so we can keep up with the busy demands of modern culture.

Additionally, investing in yourself is a great way to build self-esteem and achieve goals. With a growth mindset, you understand that your brain is a muscle that can grow and learn. You get to be in charge of what you know, what you understand, and what you are able to accomplish.  At Newfound Treasures, we value the concept of investing in ourselves. Here are just a few of our vast resources to support your self-care!
